How You Can Help

Volunteers can help in multiple ways:

Research

If you enjoy research, writing, history and learning, or even project management and organizing information, please join our research team. Helping to build our repository of knowledge, your work will become the foundation of our intellectual content – and you can help from anywhere in the world! College students seeking internships and independent study opportunities are welcome.

Solicitation

When we build it, they will come. But we need to gather items for our collections that share the Caribbean story, and we need to fundraise.

Our solicitors can reach out to people in the Caribbean community, at home and in the US, to contribute items that represent our islands. Your efforts can also help us raise needed funds for the development and execution of this important programing. Solicitors with good social skills can facilitate activities from ticket sales and pledge drives, to donor and sponsor referrals.

Advice

It will truly take a village to bring our projects to life. We need to lean on experts in history, academia, curation, research, Caribbean Studies, spatial planning, content creation, architecture, design and fundraising. If that’s you, please consider volunteering with us, or even becoming a member of our Advisory Board.

I am not ashamed to confess that I love to be of service to those who need help. And wherever the need arises—on whatever distant shore—I ask no greater or higher privilege than to minister to it.
